Across the street from the city library, this abstract depiction of a bird in flight stands more
than 10 feet tall on its base. "La Colomba" means "the dove." The work,
funded in part by the Missouri Arts Council,
is owned by the city but is on long-term loan to the
Columbia Public Library.
