Rolling Ahead
Ron Fondaw, 1999, ceramic tile and neon
Eighth and Cherry Parking Garage, Eighth and Cherry Streets

Rolling Ahead Photo

Ron Fondaw used the wheel as his design motif when designing and placing his handmade ceramic tiles and paired neon lighting. The colorful lines radiate from the glass atrium of the garage. By addressing both facades of the structure at all levels, the installation engages the viewer from a distance and at the pedestrian level. Rolling Ahead was commissioned as a city Percent for Art project.
