Columbia Parks and Recreation and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Memorial Association are planning the Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Candlelight Walk and Memorial Celebration. It will be held on Monday, January 21.
The candle light walk will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Douglass High School. Walkers will proceed to the Memorial Celebration at Second Baptist Church (407 E Broadway). The memorial will begin at approximately 7 p.m. During the service, members of the community will be recognized with the annual Dr. King awards.
