Eryn Puett of Columbia competed in the NFL Punt, Pass and Kick national competition in Atlanta, placing third in the girls 10-11 age division.
Puett competed on January 13 at the Georgia Dome during the Atlanta Falcons-Seattle Seahawks playoff game. She finished with a total score of 256 feet.
This was Puett's second consecutive year competing on the national level in Punt, Pass and Kick. She won first place last year in Baltimore.
Puett earned the trip to Atlanta after she won first place in the statewide competition on December 2 in St. Louis. Her score of 242'2" qualified her for the national contest.
The Punt, Pass and Kick competition is a free program for boys and girls organized locally by Columbia Parks and Recreation.
