Don't miss Shred Fest! This skateboarding event, geared toward celebrating National Skateboarding Day and making safe and healthy choices, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at the Columbia Skate Park in Cosmo Park. The event will feature skating contests, free time to skate and helmet giveaways. It is free of charge.
All ages are welcome to participate and the event is open to skaters of all skill levels and for those who just want to watch. Participants will be able to enter a variety of skating contests for prizes. Helmets are required for all contests, regardless of age. The day will also feature great music and food. Don't miss out on the raffle and giveaways.
Shred Fest is presented by Columbia Parks and Recreation, Parkside Skateshop, Blue Springs Pilot Club, and Youth Community Coalition.
