The boardwalk on the Bear Creek Trail will be closed starting today, July 22, as repairs are made to the bridge. It is anticipated the work will take three weeks. However, due to the location and type of work, weather may delay the completion.
The bridge that leads to the boardwalk was damaged from floodwaters resulting from heavy rains in the spring. Supports for the bridge will be replaced during the construction, which will prohibit pedestrians and bicyclists from using the bridge. Signs and a detour route are posted.
