The City of Columbia’s 4th of July celebration is approaching! Celebrate the holiday at MU’s Memorial Stadium on July 4. Gates open at 6:30 p.m.
Fun activities are planned for kids from 6:30to 8:30on the concourse including obstacle courses, games, face painting, balloon art and 4th of July crafts. Entertainment will begin at7 p.m. with performances by the Record Collector Rhythm and Soul Review, along wit the Hickman High School Choir.
Fireworks choreographed to music will begin after 9 p.m.
Fire in the Sky is coordinated by Parks and Recreation with presenting sponsors Columbia Insurance Group and KOMU 8. Major sponsors of the event are Cosmopolitan Luncheon Club, KBXR 102.3, KFRU 1400 & VA Mortgage Center. The Columbia Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Youth Community Coalition are also collaborators for the event.
