Columbia Parks and Recreation has extended the application deadline for free tickets to the Roots N Blues N BBQ Festival at Stephens Lake Park. A number of tickets were made available for Columbia's low-income residents through an agreement with festival coordinators, Thumper Entertainment.
Applications must be submitted in person at the Parks and Recreation administrative office, 1 South 7th St. They will be processed at that time and eligible applicants will receive their tickets. Application deadline is 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 25.
Printable applications are available online at www.GoColumbiaMo.com/parksandrec, or they are available at the Parks and Recreation office.
Applicants must be residents of the City of Columbia with a household income less than 185 percent of the federal poverty level. Each household is limited to one application with a maximum of four tickets distributed per household. Children ages 12 and under do not need a ticket to attend the festival.
