The first Stephens Lake Amphitheater Concert Series will kick off on May 3 with a free performance by the Norm Ruebling Band. The concert will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.
This year will mark the first time Columbia Parks and Recreation has held a summer-long concert series at the new amphitheater. A free concert will be held the first Thursday of each month (except for July) through September.
Upcoming dates are: June 7, July 12, August 2 and September 6.
The Norm Ruebling Band concert on May 3 is sponsored by MO-X and West Light and Sound. Additional parking will be available at Boone Hospital Center, directly across the park on Old Highway 63. For more information, call Parks and Recreation at 874-7460.
