The next concert in the Stephens Lake Amphitheater Concert Series is coming up! The Missouri Symphony Society will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. on June 7. The concert is free of charge.
This year is the first time Columbia Parks and Recreation has held a summer-long concert series at the new amphitheater. A free concert will be held the first Thursday of each month (except for July) through September. About 250 attended the June concert featuring the Norm Ruebling Band.
Upcoming dates are: July 12, August 2 and September 6.
The Missouri Symphony Society's concert is sponsored by the City's Office of Cultural Affairs. Additional parking will be available at Boone Hospital Center, directly across the park on Old Highway 63. For more information, call Parks and Recreation at 874-7460.
