The City Clerk is the secretary to the City Council, serves at the pleasure of the Council, and is the legal custodian of the City's official records, such as the Code of Ordinances, council meeting minutes, ordinances, resolutions and policy resolutions. The current City Clerk, Sheela Amin, was appointed in October of 2003.
The only officially published version of the Columbia City Charter and the Columbia Code of Ordinances is located in the City Clerk's Office. The Code of Ordinances can be viewed in HTML format (best viewed in Internet Explorer) or in PDF format. Please note, the online versions may differ from the official version and should be relied upon for general information purposes only. In addition, the HTML version my be more current than the PDF version, which is provided for the ease of printing.
Those ordinances, resolutions and policy resolutions considered by Council from 1999 to now can be viewed online. If you are lookin for supporting documentation associated with an ordinance, resolution or policy resolution or for legislation prior to 1999, contact the City Clerk's Office.
