Chapter 13 LICENSES, PERMITS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS REGULATIONS*
Section 13-24 Duties of licensee.
(a)
General Standards of Conduct. Every licensee under this article shall:
(1) Permit inspection. Permit all reasonable inspections of
the
business and examinations of
the
books by the business
services
administrator, subject to the provisions of section 13-19.
(2) Comply with governing law. Ascertain and at all times comply with
all laws and regulations
applicable to such licensed business.
(3) Operate properly. Avoid fraud, misrepresentation
and
false statements made in the course
of carrying on
the
business
;
avoid conducting
the
business in an unlawful manner
; avoid conducting the business in such a
manner as to constitute a nuisance
or in such a manner as to constitute a breach of the peace, or
to constitute a menace to the health, safety or general welfare of the public.
(4) Cease business. Refrain from operating the licensed business on premises
after expiration
of
the
license and during the period in which
the
license is revoked or suspended.
(b)
Display of license. Every licensee under this article shall:
(1)
Premises. Post and maintain the occupation license upon the licensed premises in a
conspicuous place where it may be seen at all times.
(2)
Persons. Carry such license on licensee's person when licensee has no licensed business
premise.
(3) Inoperative licenses and special permits. Not allow any license or
special permit to remain
posted, displayed or used after the period for which it was issued has expired; or when it has
been suspended or revoked, or for any other reason become ineffective. The licensee shall
promptly return such inoperative license or special permit to the business
services
administrator.
(4) Unlawful possession. Not loan, sell, give or assign to any other person,
or allow any other
person to use or display, or to destroy, damage or remove, or to possess, except as authorized by
the business
services
administrator or by law, any license which has been issued to such licensee.
(c) New location. A licensee shall have the right
to change the location of the licensed
business, provided
the business notifies
the business
services
administrator of the change of
location.
(d) Keep records. Every licensee under this article
shall keep all records and books
necessary to the computation of
the
license fee and to the enforcement of this article. When the
licensee fails to keep such records, the license administrator shall
determine
the financial
statement for
the
business.
