Chapter 14 MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC*
Section 14-292 Standing or parking close to curb or edge of roadway.
(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section and sections
14-293, 14-354, 14-371 and 14-372, every vehicle stopped or parked upon a roadway shall be parked or
stopped as follows:
(1) Where there are adjacent curbs,
the vehicle shall be stopped or parked with the right-hand wheels of such vehicle parallel to and within
twelve (12) inches of the right-hand curb.
(2) Where there are no adjacent curbs,
the vehicle shall be stopped or parked with its right
side as near the right-hand side of the highway as practicable.
(b) Except where not prohibited by sign or included as part
of a divided roadway, parking may
be permitted on the left-hand side of a one-way street as follows:
(1) Where there are adjacent curbs,
the vehicle shall be stopped or parked with the left-hand
wheels of such vehicle parallel to and within twelve (12) inches of the left-hand curb.
(2) Where there are no adjacent curbs,
the vehicle shall be stopped or parked with its left
side as near the left side of the highway as practicable.
(c) On any street where markings are provided to indicate
the limits of a parking stall for
vehicles, vehicles shall be parked within the marked limits.
