Chapter 14 MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC*
Section 14-371 Signs or markings indicating angle parking.
(a) The city traffic engineer is authorized to place pavement
or curb markings indicating
parking stalls or spaces. Vehicles shall be parked or stopped within such stalls or spaces in the
direction of flow of the traffic or at an angle indicated by the markings.
(b) The city council shall determine, by ordinance, upon
what streets angle parking shall be
permitted, but such angle parking shall not be indicated upon any federal-aid or state highway
within the city unless the state highway commission has determined, by resolution or order
entered in its minutes, that the roadway is of sufficient width to permit angle parking without
interfering with the free movement of traffic.
(c) Angle parking shall not be indicated or permitted at
any place where passing traffic would
thereby be caused or required to drive upon the left side of the street or upon any streetc.ar
tracks.
