Chapter 16 OFFENSES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS*
Section 16-202.1 Interference with police dog or police horse.
(a) A person commits the crime of interference with
a police dog
or police horse
if:
(1) Knowing the dog
or horse
is under the control of a police officer, the person obstructs,
interferes with or prevents by any means or method the dog
or horse
from carrying out the
commands of the police officer, or
(2) Knowing a police officer is in charge of a
police dog
or police horse
, the person
obstructs, interferes with or prevents by any means or method the police officer from maintaining
control of the dog
or horse
.
(b) Interference with a police dog
or police horse
is a class B misdemeanor.
