Chapter 16 OFFENSES AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS*
Section 16-273 Engine brakes.
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person
operating a motor vehicle to use an engine brake.
(b) An engine brake is a
device that retards the forward motion of a motor vehicle by the
use of the compression of the engine of the motor vehicle.
(c) This section shall not apply to
public safety vehicles.
