Prior to the adoption of Ord. 18254 on 09/20/2004, Section 19-167 read as follows.

    (a) If a position in the classified service is to be filled for a limited time only, appointments may be made from the list of eligible individuals interested in full-time work, except that their temporary or seasonal appointment shall not affect their eligibility for full-time positions.

    (b)    Former part-time temporary employees may be rehired without certification by the human resources department provided the human resources department is notified accordingly. All part-time, temporary, and seasonal appointments shall be coordinated through the human resources department.
