Prior to the adoption of Ord. 17660 on 05/05/2003, Section 2-347 read as follows.


    The environment and energy commission shall be composed of thirteen (13)   eleven (11) members. Four (4) members shall be appointed by the Boone County Commission .   Six (6)   members shall be appointed by the city council .   O ne member  shall be a member of the planning and zoning commission chosen by that commission, one member shall be a member of the board of health chosen by that board, and one member shall be a member of the water and light advisory board chosen by that board . The six (6) members appointed by the city council shall be qualified voters of the city. Members shall serve without compensation and shall not be paid officers or employees of the city. The terms of office shall be three (3) years. Appointments shall be made on or about the first day of June of each year.   The members from the planning and zoning commission, the board of health and the water and light advisory board shall be a voting members but shall not be eligible to serve as an officers of the environment and energy commission.
