Section 22-106 Classification of streets; design standards and specifications.
Prior to the adoption of 15506 on 02/02/1998, Section 22-106 read as follows.
(a) For the purpose of planning the orderly extension, construction
and reconstruction of
streets, all public streets and rights-of-way are classified in the transportation plan as follows:
(1) Local;
(2) Collector;
(3) Arterial;
(4) Expressway;
(5) Freeway.
(b) Street design standards and specifications are set forth
in the transportation plan and the
subdivision regulations.
(c) The council may, upon the recommendation of the director
of public works, grant a
variance or exception to the minimum street widths required by the standards and specifications.
