Prior to the adoption of Ord. 20654 on 06/21/2010, Section 24-41 read as follows.


     (a)     No person shall construct, reconstruct, repair, alter or grade any sidewalk, curb, curb cut, driveway or street on the public streets or rights-of-way without first obtaining a permit from the director of public works.

    (b)    No person shall close a public sidewalk in connection with a construction project without first obtaining a permit either under this division, if the sidewalk is to be closed for thirty (30) days or less.  If the sidewalk is to be closed for more than thirty (30) days, Article IV should be followed.
