Prior to the adoption of Ord. 16186 on 09/20/1999, Section 27-124.2 read as follows.


    (a) The rates to be charged for water furnished from the water plant to commercial customers outside the city limits within the former boundaries of dissolved Public Water Supply Districts No. 1 and No. 2, who use more than fifty thousand (50,000) cubic feet (500ccf) per month average during nonsummer months (October through May) are hereby fixed as follows:

    (1)    Rates per one hundred (100) cubic feet (1ccf):

        All water, beginning with first one hundred (100) cubic feet (1ccf) . . . . $ 1.228 1.252

        Summer surcharge imposed by subsection (b) . . . . 1.854 1.891

    (2)    Minimum charge per month, charged in addition to the volume charge in subsection (a)(1), based on meter size:

        1-inch . . . . $ 4.74 4.84

        1 1/2-inch . . . . 7.01 7.15

        2-inch . . . . 9.13 9.31

        3-inch . . . . 23.37 23.84

        4-inch . . . . 36.11 36.83

    (b) Summer surcharge. A surcharge will be assessed on water consumption occurring during summer as defined in Section 27-16 which exceed one hundred twenty (120) per cent of the customer's average monthly winter use based on the monthly billing of water usage during the immediate preceding months of January, February and March.
