Prior to the adoption of Ord. 16422 on 05/01/2000, Section 27-124 read as follows.


    (a) The rates to be charged for water furnished to residential customers, and commercial multiple family facilities customers, outside the city limits within the former boundaries of dissolved Public Water Supply Districts No. 1 and No. 2 are hereby fixed as follows:

    (1)    Rates per one hundred (100) cubic feet (1ccf):

        All water, beginning with first one hundred (100) cubic feet (1ccf) . . . . $  1.559

        Summer surcharge imposed by subsection (b) . . . .   1.891 2.183

    (2)    Minimum charge per month, charged in addition to the volume charge in subsection (a)(1), based on meter size:

        5/8-inch and 3/4-inch . . . . $  4.53

        1-inch . . . .  4.84

        1 1/2-inch . . . .  7.15

        2-inch . . . .  9.31

        3-inch . . . .  23.84

        4-inch . . . .  36.83

        6-inch . . . .  73.66

    (b) Summer surcharge. A surcharge will be assessed on water consumption occurring during summer as defined in Section 27-16 which exceed one hundred twenty (120) per cent of the customer's average monthly winter use as calculated for the basic sewage service charge under section 22-263.
