Prior to the adoption of Ord. 17507 on 11/04/2002, Section 9-21 read as follows.

The BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, Tenth Edition, 1996, published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., including all appendices, three (3) copies of which have been on file with the city clerk for a period of ninety (90) days prior to the adoption of this article, is hereby adopted by reference and made a part of the Code of Ordinances, City of Columbia, Missouri as fully as if set forth in its entirety. At least three (3) copies of the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code, Tenth Edition, 1996 shall remain on file in the office of the city clerk and shall be kept available for public use, inspection and examination.

The 2000 edition of the International Fire Code published by the International Code Council, Inc., including Appendices B, C, E, F and G, three copies of which have been on file with the city clerk for a period of ninety (90) days prior to the adoption of this article, is hereby adopted by reference and made a part of the Code of Ordinances, City of Columbia, Missouri as fully as if set forth in its entirety. At least three (3) copies of the 2000 edition of the International Fire Code shall remain on file in the office of the city clerk and shall be kept available for public use, inspection and examination.
