A RESOLUTION

declaring the necessity for the historic restoration of the lobby and mezzanine of the Daniel Boone Building; stating the nature of and the estimate of the cost thereof; providing for payment for the improvement; providing for compliance with the prevailing wage law; and setting a public hearing.

The City Council deems the historic restoration of the lobby and mezzanine of the Daniel Boone Building including construction of a second stairway from the mezzanine to the lobby, restoration of the wood ceiling, new light fixtures, handrails, carpeting and wall finishes on the mezzanine and reconstruction of the vestibule necessary to the welfare and improvement of the City.

The estimated cost of this improvement is $226,000.

Payment for this improvement shall be made from the capital fund balance and such other funds as may be lawfully appropriated.
