determining that it is in the public interest to construct an 8inch water main serving Springdale Estates, Plats 6 and 7; approving and adopting plans and specifications; determining that the work shall be done by G & W Enterprises, LLC; appropriating funds; providing for payment of the extra cost for constructing an 8-inch rather than a 6-inch water main; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

The Council finds that the construction of an 8inch water main serving Springdale Estates, Plats 6 and 7 is necessary for the welfare and improvement of the City and that it is in the public interest that such improvement be made.

The construction of the improvement shall be done by G & W Enterprises, LLC.

The sum of $ 5,056.00 is hereby appropriated from the Fund Balance Account No. 550-0000-351.01-00 to the Capital/Transmission and Distribution Mains Account No. 550-7220-881.68-60 Project #WT0010, Work Request #WF0094736/5.

The Director of Finance is authorized to pay G & W Enterprises, LLC $ 5,056.00 for installing 1,975 feet of an 8-inch water main serving Springdale Estates, Plats 6 and 7. This amount is the differential cost of installing an 8-inch water main above the cost of installing a 6-inch water main.
