Section 100-064 Res. 26-99; Public Hearing - Necessity for Storm Water Drainage Improvements in Worley Street and Again Street Areas

A RESOLUTION

declaring the necessity for storm water drainage improvements in the Worley Street and Again Street area; stating the nature of and the estimate of the cost thereof; providing for payment for the improvement; providing for compliance with the prevailing wage law; and setting a public hearing.

The City Council deems the construction of reinforced concrete pipes, inlets, catch basins, junction boxes, grading, the purchase and removal of a house at either 1105 or 1107 Again Street and other miscellaneous work in the Worley Street and Again Street area, all in accordance with the City of Columbia Storm Drainage Standards and Specifications, necessary to the welfare and improvement of the City.

The nature and scope of the improvement shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, transportation, insurance and all other items, accessories and incidentals thereto necessary for the complete construction of the improvements.

The estimated cost of this improvement is $ 189,200.

Payment for this improvement shall be made from Storm Water Utility funds, Sanitary Sewer Utility funds and such other funds as may be lawfully appropriated.

This resolution shall be published in a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Columbia for seven (7) consecutive insertions, and a public hearing in respect to this improvement will be held in the Council Chamber of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway, Columbia, Missouri, at 7:00 p.m. on March 1, 1999.
