AN ORDINANCE
determining that it is in the public interest to construct an 8inch water main running
along Rain
Forest Parkway located in Vanderveen Crossing, Plats 1 and 2; approving and adopting plans and
specifications; determining that the work shall be done by Progressive Land Development,
L.L.C.; appropriating funds; providing for payment of the extra cost for constructing an 8-inch
rather than a 6-inch water main; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.
SECTION 1. The Council finds that the construction of
an 8inch water main running along
Rain Forest Parkway located in Vanderveen Crossing, Plats 1 and 2 is necessary for the welfare
and improvement of the City and that it is in the public interest that such improvement be made.
SECTION 2. The plans and specifications for this improvement,
as prepared by the Director
of the Water and Light Department and filed in the office of the City Clerk, are hereby approved
and made a part of this ordinance by reference.
SECTION 3. The construction of the improvement shall be
done by Progressive Land
Development, L.L.C.
SECTION 4. The sum of $ 3,919.20 is hereby appropriated
from the Fund Balance Account
No. 550-0000-351.01-00 to the Capital/Transmission and Distribution Mains Account No. 550-7220-881.68-60,
Project #WT0010, Work Request #WF0178703/5.
SECTION 5. The Director of Finance is authorized to pay
Progressive Land Development,
L.L.C. $3,919.20 for installing 920 feet of an 8-inch water main serving Vanderveen Crossing,
Plats 1 and 2. This amount is the differential cost of installing an 8-inch water main above the
cost of installing a 6-inch water main.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
