Ordinance No.            16309              Council Bill No.           B 454-99            

changing the name of “Village Square Drive” to “Club Village Drive”; changing the name of “Sedonna Villas Drive” to “Sedona Villas Drive”; directing the City Clerk to record a certified copy of this ordinance; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

    WHEREAS, all property owners of record abutting Village Square Drive and Sedonna Villas Drive have been notified by certified mail of the City's intent to change the street names and the date of a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission; and

    WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission has been published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City at least fifteen days prior to the hearing; and

    WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has held the advertised public hearing regarding the street name changes; and

    WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended to the City Council that the name of “Village Square Drive” be changed to “Club Village Drive” and the name of “Sedonna Villas Drive” be changed to “Sedona Villas Drive,” and

    WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing before the City Council to consider changing the name of these streets has been published once in a local newspaper of general circulation at least seven days prior to the hearing; and

    WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing to consider changing the name of these streets.

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The name of “Village Square Drive” is changed to “Club Village Drive.”

    SECTION 2.  The name of “Sedonna Villas Drive” is changed to “Sedona Villas Drive.”

    SECTION 3.  The City Clerk is hereby directed to have a certified copy of this ordinance recorded in the office of the Boone County Recorder of Deeds.

    SECTION 4.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
