approving the by-laws of the Hunters Gate I Neighborhood Association and recognizing it as the official neighborhood organization for the area described in the bylaws of the Association.

    WHEREAS, on October 7, 1974, the City of Columbia, Missouri, adopted a Neighborhood Organization Policy for the purpose of encouraging citizen participation in local government planning and decision making as it affects the development of individual neighborhoods; and

    WHEREAS, on September 6, 1977, the City of Columbia, Missouri, reaffirmed and amended the Neighborhood Organization Policy.

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The bylaws of the Hunters Gate I Neighborhood Association, submitted as a charter to the Council, are hereby approved.

    SECTION 2.  The City Council hereby recognizes the Hunters Gate I Neighborhood Association as the official neighborhood organization for the area described in the bylaws of the Association.

    SECTION 3.  A copy of the bylaws, together with a copy of this resolution, shall be filed in the office of the City Manager.
