Ordinance No.           16338               Council Bill No.           B 26-00            

changing the name of “Coho Drive” to “Rainbow Trout Drive”; changing the name of “Rainbow Trout Court” to “Coho Court”; directing the City Clerk to record a certified copy of this ordinance; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

    WHEREAS, all property owners of record abutting Coho Drive and Rainbow Trout Court have been notified by certified mail of the City's intent to change the street names and the date of a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission; and

    WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning Commission has been published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City at least fifteen days prior to the hearing; and

    WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has held the advertised public hearing regarding the street name changes; and

    WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission has recommended to the City Council that the name of “Coho Drive” be changed to “Rainbow Trout Drive” and the name of “Rainbow Trout Court” be changed to “Coho Court,” and

    WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing before the City Council to consider changing the name of these streets has been published once in a local newspaper of general circulation at least seven days prior to the hearing; and

    WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing to consider changing the name of these streets.

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The name of “Coho Drive” is changed to “Rainbow Trout Drive.”

    SECTION 2.  The name of “Rainbow Trout Court” is changed to “Coho Court.”

    SECTION 3.  The City Clerk is hereby directed to have a certified copy of this ordinance recorded in the office of the Boone County Recorder of Deeds.

    SECTION 4.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after

its passage.
