Section 101-219 Res. 79-00; Setting a Public Hearing RE: Installation of Traffic Calming Devices in Woodridge Subdivision

A RESOLUTION

declaring the necessity for the installation of traffic calming devices in Woodridge Subdivision; stating the nature of and the estimate of the cost thereof; providing for payment for the project; and setting a public hearing.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City Council deems the installation of traffic calming devices in Woodridge Subdivision, including three speed humps on Berrywood Drive, a traffic circle at the intersection of Lansing Avenue and Arbor Drive, a traffic circle at the intersection of Woodridge Drive and Evergreen Lane, and miscellaneous work, all in accordance with City of Columbia Street and Storm Sewer Specifications and Standards, necessary to the welfare and improvement of the City.

    SECTION 2.   The estimated cost of this improvement is $ 16,500.00.

    SECTION 3.  Payment for this improvement shall be made from the Capital Improvement Sales Tax Fund and such other funds as may be lawfully appropriated.

    SECTION 4.  This resolution shall be published in a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Columbia for seven (7) consecutive insertions, and a public hearing in respect to this improvement will be held in the Council Chamber of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway, Columbia, Missouri, at 7:00 p.m. on May 15, 2000.
