A RESOLUTION

rejecting all bids for the construction of the wetland treatment units berm repair project and ordering re-advertisement for bids.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  Upon the recommendation of the City Manager, the City Council hereby rejects all bids for the wetland treatment units berm repair project.

    SECTION 2.  The City Clerk is authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the construction of the improvement.  The advertisement shall be published for seven (7) consecutive insertions in a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Columbia and shall state that the bids must be filed by 11:15 a.m. on May 25, 2000.  The first publication of the advertisement shall be no later than May 15, 2000.  The advertisement shall refer to the plans and specifications filed in the City Clerk's office and shall advise bidders of the method of payment for the improvement.  The advertisement shall state that the Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids and that, in order to be considered, a bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond with corporate surety for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, payable to the City of Columbia.  All bids shall be opened by the City Clerk in the chambers where the City Council holds its regular meetings at 11:15 a.m. on May 25, 2000.
