Section 101-340 Res. 124-00; Calling a Public Hearing RE: Relocation of a 24-inch Water Main in Connection w/the Route AC Relocation Project

A RESOLUTION

declaring the necessity for the relocation of a 24-inch water main in connection with the Route AC relocation; stating the nature of and the estimated cost of the project; providing for payment for the improvement; and setting a public hearing.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City Council deems the construction of a 24-inch water main from near the intersection of Providence Road and Nifong Boulevard along the south side of Cooper Drive to Nifong Boulevard at Crown Center Farms, in accordance with Water and Light Department water main plans and specifications necessary to the welfare and improvement of the City.

    SECTION 2.  The estimated cost of this improvement is $ 785,271.00.

    SECTION 3.  Payment for this improvement shall be made from the Water and Electric Fund using funds appropriated in Capital Improvement Project No. WT0084.

    SECTION 4. Any work done in connection with the construction of the improvement specified above shall be in compliance with the provisions of the prevailing wage laws of the Department of Labor and the State of Missouri, such prevailing wage rates having been established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of Missouri.

    SECTION 5.  This resolution shall be published in a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Columbia for seven (7) consecutive insertions, and a public hearing in respect to this improvement will be held in the Council Chamber of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway, Columbia, Missouri, at 7:00 p.m. on July 17, 2000.
