Section 101-417 Ord. 16543; Amending Chapter 27 RE: Authorizing City Manager to Enter into Agreements to Provide Specialized Utility Services

AN ORDINANCE

amending Chapter 27 of the City Code authorizing the City Manager to enter into agreements to provide specialized utility services to other cities, utilities or customers; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  Chapter 27 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Columbia, Missouri, is hereby amended by adding the following section 27-46:

Section 27-46.  Specialized Utility Services.

The City Manager is authorized to enter into agreements with cities, private utilities, industrial or commercial customers or public utility districts to provide specialized utility services using city equipment and staff.  The fees charged for such services shall not be less than the actual cost of providing such services to the requesting party.

    SECTION 2.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
