Section 101-421 Ord. 16547; Vacating an Electric Easement Located within Woodrail Subdivison, Plat No. 7

AN ORDINANCE

vacating an electric easement; directing the City Clerk to have a copy of this ordinance recorded; accepting conveyance for electric purposes; directing the City Clerk to have the conveyance recorded; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City Council finds and determines that a certain electric easement located within Woodrail Subdivision, Plat No. 7, more particularly described as follows:

A tract of land in Section 26, Township 48 North, Range 13 West in Columbia, Boone County, Missouri, said tract being a part of Lot 53 of Woodrail Subdivision, Plat Number (7) as shown in Plat Book 12, Page 27 of the Boone County records.  Said Tract is further described as follows:

Beginning at the westerly common corner between said Lot 53 and Lot 46 of Woodrail Subdivision, Plat Four (4); thence along the south line of said Lot 53, N76E28' 25"E, 55.00 feet; thence perpendicular to said line, N13E31'35"W, 16.00 feet; thence parallel with said south line of Lot 53, S76E28'25"W, 44.31 feet to a point on the easterly right-of-way of Woodkirk Lane; thence southerly along a curve to the right, 19.39 feet to the point of beginning, the radius of said curve being 45.00 feet and the chord of said curve being S20E13'50"W, 19.25 feet.  The area of the above described tract is 781 square feet.

is in excess and surplus to the needs of the City and is hereby vacated.

    SECTION 2.  The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this ordinance to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Boone County, Missouri.

    SECTION 3.  The conveyance to the City of Columbia, Missouri, a municipal corporation, more particularly described as follows:

Grant of Easement from Gary R. and Virginia G. Evans, dated June 26, 2000, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein verbatim.

is hereby accepted.

    SECTION 4.  The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to have the conveyance recorded in the office of the Boone County Recorder of Deeds.

    SECTION 5.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
