Section 101-548 Ord. 16637; Vacating Utility and Sewer Easements on the Tribune Publishing Company Site

AN ORDINANCE

vacating utility and sewer easements; directing the City Clerk to have a copy of this ordinance recorded; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
    SECTION 1.  The City Council finds and determines that a certain unused utility easement located on the Tribune Publishing Company site, which is bounded by East Walnut Street, East Ash Street, North Fourth Street and North Fifth Street, more particularly described as follows:

The east thirteen (13) feet of the 17 foot wide utility easement described by City Ordinance number 2284, recorded in book 328 page 652 of the Boone County records, located in the vacated right-of-way along the east side of Fourth Street between Walnut Street and Ash Street in the Original Town, now City, of Columbia.

is in excess and surplus to the needs of the City and is hereby vacated.

    SECTION 2.  The City Council finds and determines that a certain unused sewer easement located on the Tribune Publishing Company site, which is bounded by East Walnut Street, East Ash Street, North Fourth Street and North Fifth Street, more particularly described as follows:

The sixteen (16) foot wide sewer easement recorded in book 564 page 506 of the Boone County records, located in Lots 304, 305, and 306 in the Original Town, now City, of Columbia, Missouri.

is in excess and surplus to the needs of the City and is hereby vacated.

    SECTION 3.  The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of this ordinance to be recorded in the office of the Recorder of Deeds of Boone County, Missouri.

    SECTION 4.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
