Section 102-001 Ord. 16720; Approving a Revision to the Columbia Mall C-P Development Plan

AN ORDINANCE

approving a revision to the Columbia Mall CP Development Plan; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.


BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City Council hereby approves a revision to the Columbia Mall C-P Development Plan, dated November 27, 2000, located on the west side of Stadium Boulevard, between West Worley Street and Bernadette Drive.  This revision would allow for a new sign plan.  The sign plan would set limits on the size and height of replacement wall signs and free standing signs throughout the Columbia Mall property.

    SECTION 2.  Approval of the CP Development Plan shall be deemed to satisfy the requirements for a Preliminary Plat of a Subdivision.

    SECTION 3.  Approval of this revision to the C-P Development Plan is subject to the following conditions:

    1.    That prior to ninety days from passage of this ordinance, the “off-premise” sign, located at the northwest corner of Stadium Boulevard and Bernadette Drive shall be removed.

    2.    That prior to January 1, 2007, the Columbia Mall shopping center identification sign, located on the west side of Stadium Boulevard, between Bernadette Drive and West Worley Street, shall be either removed, replaced or modified to comply with the current Sign Regulations (not more than 30 feet in height; not more than 288 square feet of sign surface area; and, no animated sign).

    SECTION 4.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
