Section 102-018 Ord. 16737; Payment of Differential Cost for Construction of a 12-inch Water Serving Spring Creek, Plat 1; Accepting a Deed of Dedication

AN ORDINANCE

authorizing payment for the extra cost of constructing a 12-inch water main over an 8-inch water main serving Spring Creek, Plat 1; accepting and approving the report of the Director of Water and Light; accepting a deed of dedication; directing the City Clerk to have the deed recorded; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.   The Director of Finance is authorized to pay Wynfield Development Corporation $ 23,659.20 for installing a 12-inch water main serving Spring Creek, Plat 1.  This amount is the differential cost of installing a 12-inch over an 8-inch main. Payment shall be made from the Capital/Transmission and Distribution Mains Account No. 550-7220-881.68-60 #WT0010 and #WF0216283/5.

    SECTION 2.  The report of the Director of the Water and Light Department, who was charged with the responsibility of personally inspecting the work as it progressed to see that the work was done in accordance with the estimate, plans, specifications and contract, the ordinance governing the same and the Charter of the City, is hereby approved and accepted.

    SECTION 3.  The City of Columbia accepts the Deed of Dedication from Wynfield Development Corporation, dated October 4, 2000, a copy of which, marked "Attachment A" is attached to this ordinance.

    SECTION 4.  The City Clerk is authorized and directed to have the deed recorded in the office of the Boone County Recorder of Deeds.

    SECTION 5.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
