Section 102-042 Ord. 16754; Accepting a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant

AN ORDINANCE

accepting a Local Law Enforcement Block Grant;  appropriating funds; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City of Columbia accepts a Federal Local Law Enforcement Block Grant in the amount of $103,695.00; $73,695.00 of which shall be retained by the City and $30,000.00 of which shall be transferred to Boone County.  The City Manager is authorized to take all steps required by the Bureau of Justice Assistance in connection with acceptance of this Grant.  

    SECTION 2.  The sum of $ 73,695.00 is hereby appropriated from the Federal Revenue Account No. 110-2120-461.10-12 #GFDBL5 to the following accounts:

    SECTION 3.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
