Ordinance No.           17275               Council Bill No.            B 137-02           

authorizing an agreement with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for a storm water grant; appointing the Director of Public Works as authorized representative to sign all necessary documents associated with the grant; appropriating funds; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for a storm water grant for assistance with the Storm Water Master Plan Amendment - Phase I (Storm Water Mapping Project) Project.  The form and content of the agreement shall be substantially as set forth in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein verbatim.

    SECTION 2.  The Director of Public Works, Lowell B. Patterson, is hereby authorized to furnish such information as the Missouri Department of Natural Resources may reasonably request in connection with the grant application, to sign all necessary documents on behalf of the applicant, and to furnish such assurances to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources as may be required by law or regulation.

    SECTION 3.  The sum of $ 484,466.00 is hereby appropriated: $242,266.00 from the State Contributions Account No. 558-0000-313.01-00 and $242,200.00 from the Storm Water Utility Fund Account No. 558-0000-351.01-00 to the Digital Mapping Project Account No. 558-6688-881.49-90 C49043.

    SECTION 4.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
