authorizing a grant agreement with the Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District for the purchase of a horizontal recycling baler; appropriating funds; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute a grant agreement with the Mid-Missouri Solid Waste Management District for the purchase of a horizontal recycling baler. The form and content of the agreement shall be substantially as set forth in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein verbatim.

    SECTION 2.  The sum of $ 170,000.00 is hereby appropriated: $100,000.00 from the State Revenue Account No. 557-0000-462.10-00 and $70,000.00 from the Solid Waste Utility Fund Account No. 557-0000-351.01-00 to the Horizontal Baler Project Account No. 557-6588-881.49-90 C48033.

    SECTION 3.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
