A RESOLUTION

declaring the necessity for the relocation of a water main at the intersection of Brown School Road and Highway 763; stating the nature of and the estimated cost of the project; providing for payment for the improvement; determining that the work shall be done by city employees; and setting a public hearing.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City Council deems the relocation of a 12-inch water main located at the intersection of Brown School Road and Highway 763, in accordance with Water and Light Department water main plans and specifications, necessary to the welfare and improvement of the city.

    SECTION 2.  The estimated cost of this improvement is $ 47,000.00.

    SECTION 3.  Payment for this improvement shall be made from the Water and Electric Fund Project WT0010 and from such other funds as may be lawfully appropriated.

    SECTION 4.   As deemed advisable by the City Manager, City employees shall be used to construct the improvements.

    SECTION 5.  This resolution shall be published in a daily newspaper of general circulation in the City of Columbia for seven (7) consecutive insertions, and a public hearing in respect to this improvement will be held in the Council Chamber of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway, Columbia, Missouri, at 7:00 p.m. on October 21, 2002.
