Section 103-584; Ord. 17495; Authorizing Agreements RE: Development and Promotion of Festivals and Special Events

AN ORDINANCE

authorizing the City Manager to execute agreements with various organizations for the development and promotion of festivals and special events; appropriating funds; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute agreements with the following organizations for the following projects in the following amounts:

The form and content of the agreement for each cultural organization listed in Section 1 shall follow the general form as set forth in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as if set forth herein verbatim, and shall conform to the proposal submitted by the organization in its request for funding.

    SECTION 2.  The sum of $ 6,300 is hereby appropriated from the Tourism Development Fund Account No. 229-4820-509.49-90 to the Parks and Recreation Heritage Festival Account No. 552-5580-602.49-90.

    SECTION 3.  The sum of $ 8,500 is hereby appropriated from the Tourism Development Fund Account No. 229-4820-509.49-90 to the Office of Cultural Affairs Account No. 226-4620-509.49-90.
 
    SECTION 4.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
