rezoning property located on the east side of Forum Boulevard, approximately 300 feet south of
the intersection of Forum Boulevard and Southampton Drive from Districts C-1 and R-1 to
District C-P; repealing all conflicting ordinances or parts of ordinances; approving the Painter C-P
Development Plan; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS
SECTION 1. The Zoning District Map established and adopted by Section
294 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Columbia, Missouri, is amended so that the following property:
A TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST 1/4 OF SECTION 35, TOWNSHIP 48
NORTH, RANGE 13 WEST, COLUMBIA, BOONE COUNTY, MISSOURI, BEING PART OF
LOT 1703, THE HIGHLANDS PLAT 17, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 32, PAGE 87 OF
THE BOONE COUNTY RECORDS AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED AS
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 1703, THE HIGHLANDS PLAT 17;
THENCE ALONG THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF FORUM BLVD, N20E49'45"W, 143.96 FEET;
THENCE LEAVING SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY, N69E11'20"E, 127.22 FEET; THENCE
N89E37'20"E, 195.62 FEET TO THE WEST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF LAKE VALLEY
LANE; THENCE ALONG SAID RIGHT-OF-WAY, S0E22'55"E, 133.88 FEET TO THE
SOUTHEAST CORNER OF LOT 1703, THE HIGHLANDS PLAT 17; THENCE ALONG THE
SOUTH LINE OF SAID LOT, S89E34'30"W, 142.73 FEET; THENCE S69E13'15"W, 129.95
FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING AND CONTAINING 0.95 ACRES.
will be rezoned and become a part of District C-P (Planned Business District). Hereafter the
property may be used for business and professional offices and all the uses in District C-1 that
apply to a home interior design center including retail sale of home furnishings, decorations and
SECTION 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this
ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. The City Council hereby approves the Painter C-P Development
September 19, 2002. The Director of Planning and Development shall use the design parameters
set forth in Exhibit A which is attached to and made a part of this ordinance as guidance
considering any future revisions to the C-P Development Plan.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
