A RESOLUTION
expressing support for the New Year’s Eve activities planned by First Night Columbia; and
authorizing the City Manager to provide support services for the activities.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby expresses its support for the New Year’s
Eve activities
planned by First Night Columbia for Downtown Columbia.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to provide support services
for these activities
within the constraints of the city budget and taking into consideration the limited resources and
operational duties of the various city departments. The City Manager is specifically authorized
to provide shuttle bus service with two buses from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., to provide barricades
for the streets that will be closed and to provide trash barrels on the Courthouse Square.
