A RESOLUTION
establishing a "Homes for Computers" program to dispose of surplus City computers.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The "Homes for Computers" program is hereby established to dispose of surplus
Cityowned personal computers and peripheral equipment of little or no value. The computers
will be conveyed to City residents with disabilities, atrisk students, and economically
disadvantaged persons who have been certified by the Voluntary Action Center as meeting
requirements for the program. The Purchasing Agent shall establish written eligibility guidelines
and procedures for the "Homes for Computers" program prior to implementation.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to take all necessary administrative actions to
transfer and convey all ownership interests in the computers to qualified residents.
