AN ORDINANCE
appropriating funds for the purchase of personal protective equipment, explosive device mitigation/remediation equipment, detection equipment, logistical support equipment and a spare controller battery assembly for the Fire Department; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1.  The sum of $ 44,800 is hereby appropriated from Federal Revenues/DOJ/SEMA Account No. 110-2320-461.10-24 GSEMA1 to the Instruments and Apparatus Account No. 110-2320-513.66-41 GSEMA1 and the sum of $ 20,300 is hereby appropriated from Federal Revenues/DOJ/SEMA Account No. 110-2320-461.10-24 GSEMA1 to the Supplies and Materials Account No. 110-2320-513.14-70 GSEMA1 for the purchase of personal protective equipment, explosive device mitigation/remediation equipment, detection equipment and logistical support equipment for the Fire Department as part of the FY 2003 Part II Homeland Security - Office of Domestic Preparedness Grant Program.

    SECTION 2.  The sum of $ 581 is hereby appropriated from Federal Revenues/DOJ/SEMA Account No. 110-2320-461.10-24 GSEMA0 to the Supplies and Materials Account No. 110-2320-513.14-70 GSEMA0 for the purchase of a spare controller battery assembly for the Fire Department as part of the FY 2003 Part I Homeland Security - Office of Domestic Preparedness Grant Program.

    SECTION 3.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
