AN ORDINANCE

accepting certain streets within Lake of the Woods Transportation Development District for public use and maintenance; authorizing acknowledgment of a notice of completion for the transportation improvements; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

    WHEREAS, the City of Columbia and Lake of the Woods Transportation Development District, a political subdivision of the State of Missouri, entered into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement on July 3, 2003; and

    WHEREAS, pursuant to that Agreement, the District undertook to make improvements to St. Charles Road and construction of Bull Run Drive and upon completion of the improvements to dedicate the improvements to the City; and

    WHEREAS, the District has presented the City with its notice of completion for the transportation improvements.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  The City hereby accepts St. Charles Road and Bull Run Drive for public use and maintenance.

    SECTION 2.  The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an acknowledgment of the Notice of Completion of Transportation Improvements with Lake of the Woods Transportation Development District.  The form and content of the notice shall be substantially as set forth in “Exhibit A” attached hereto and made a part hereof as fully as set forth herein verbatim.

    SECTION 3.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
