AN ORDINANCE

amending Chapter 3 of the City Code by repealing Sec. 3-3 pertaining to City Control of the Columbia Regional Airport and to agreements contrary to the Federal Aviation Act; and fixing the time when this ordinance shall become effective.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.  Chapter 3 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Columbia, Missouri, is hereby amended as follows:

    Material to be deleted in strikeout; material to be added underlined.

Sec. 3-3. City control Reserved.

     The city shall, at all times, maintain full control of the airport. The city shall adopt no ordinance, resolution or motion and shall make no lease or contract with any person, including the United States Government, which will impair city's control of such airport and its facilities, nor shall it enter into any agreement which may be contrary to the Federal Aviation Act.

    SECTION 2.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
