A RESOLUTION

designating the City Council Chambers as the place where Municipal Court shall be held during renovation of the Howard Building.

    WHEREAS, Section 15-4 of the City Code provides that the City Council shall, by resolution, designate a suitable courtroom in which Municipal Court shall be held; and

    WHEREAS, the City Council has provided a suitable courtroom in the Howard Building; and
    WHEREAS, the Howard Building is scheduled for renovation and the courtroom in the Howard Building will be unavailable for use during the renovation; and

    WHEREAS, the City Council Chambers on the fourth floor of the Daniel Boone Building is suitable for use as a temporary courtroom.

    NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:

    SECTION 1.    The City Council designates the City Council Chambers on the fourth floor of the Daniel Boone Building as the place where Municipal Court shall be held during the renovation of the Howard Building.

    SECTION 2.    During the renovation of the Howard Building, the Municipal Court shall have priority over all other users of the Council Chambers, except the City Council, during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
